Well, I’m over 100,000 miles flown this year, but it’s not time to slow down yet! I leave again today for South Asia and the third meeting of the Singapore Network Operators Group, SGNOG 3.
Similar to many NOGs around the world:
Singapore Network Operators’ Group (SGNOG) is formed to provide Service/Content Providers and vendors a venue to share and learn from each other, thereby fostering greater collaborations at working level.
I’m excited to be a part of the agenda at such a young and promising NOG’s third meeting!
The full agenda isn’t posted yet, but there are some exciting highlights featured on the event page:
Speakers and topics
Security in an IPv6 World: Myths and Reality – Chris Grundemann
DO and You – An introduction to the Internet Society Deployment & Operationalization (DO) Team – Chris Grundemann
Identifier Systems Security Stability and Resiliency – Champika Wijayatunga
Statistics on IPv6 adoption in .sg domain names – Mon-Loi Perez
Reduce IXP Outage from 40 min to 0 min – ARP Guard in IXP – Eric Choi
Operator Community and Peering – a Case Study on Japan – Seiichi Kawamura
BGP and Traffic Engineering with Akamai – Kams Yeung
This promises to be a fun and engaging meeting!
As always, if you are in Singapore this week, and especially if you are attending SGNOG 3 as well, I’d love the chance to chat with you! Let’s talk about getting more Operational input into the IETF, about strengthening the Best Current Operational Practices around the world, about IPv6, DNSSEC, Securing BGP, TLS for applications, or anything else that may help the Internet stay free, open, and growing. I look forward to it!
