We work with individual consultants and contractors around the world to meet the needs of our growing clients. So, while we do not have “full-time” employment options available, we are always looking to expand our network of super smart folks to partner with.
Current Opportunities:
We are actively looking for 10-15 additional analysts for our work with GigaOm. Do you have practical experience in Enterprise networking and/or cybersecurity and enjoy researching and writing? If so, check this out:
Grundemann Technology Solutions is helping GigaOm to disrupt the analyst industry. In order to do that, we need folks who can combine real-world networking experience with a willingness to research and write great reports that help other end-users make crucial decisions. The Technical Research Analyst, Networking & Edge leverages their existing experience and expertise to conduct research on current Enterprise IT trends and then turn the collected data into clear, informative, and defensible reports.
Don’t worry if you’ve never been an analyst before, or don’t even really know what one does. We have the templates prepared, the process nailed, and are ready to show you the ropes. If you’re already an accomplished writer or analyst, we won’t hold it against you! Our analysts come from diverse backgrounds including senior technical executives, practitioners, architects, journalists and traditional technical researchers. Our analysts can work independently or as part of a research team with project management, writers and other contributing analysts.
You Should Be…
- Future-Focused. You have your eye on the horizon looking for early stage trends, break-through innovation and transformative technology.
- Pragmatic. You want to solve the problems of today to make room for tomorrow’s challenges. You look for the practical application of technology to achieve business goals.
- Data-Driven. You challenge the vendors you work with to provide real world data to back their product claims. You can roll up your sleeves to work with engineers and develop technical benchmarks or evaluate total cost of ownership for solutions.
- A Clear Communicator. You know how to distill complex ideas into high level concepts to foster understanding across stakeholders from different parts of an organization. You understand that listening is often the most important part of a conversation.
- Deeply committed to knowledge and understanding.
You Should Have… (You don’t need all of these… just some)
- Confidence that your years of work experience, academic achievements and/or unique technical accomplishments support your position as a leader and trusted advisor in your subject matter area(s).
- Experience conducting research and turning data into informative and defensible reports
- Online research – searching the vendor’s websites, along with any relevant blogs or other sources of information on these specific products.
- Asynchronous communication – email representatives, partners, and clients of the vendors to ask them direct questions.
- Live briefings – scheduled live briefings from the vendors analyst relations teams and executives, as well as clients of the vendors.
- Led teams to deploy and manage IT infrastructure in a Fortune 1000 company
- Led extensive evaluations of vendor solutions in your area(s) of expertise
- Advised C-Suite executives on technology planning and strategy
- Conducted product benchmark testing (vendor solutions or your own)
This is a contract role that you can easily start as a side-hustle. And we have plenty of work, so if you love it, this could become your new full-time gig.
This work is and will be 100% remote.
